Photos and Information.

Seven showed up for the 2008 deer season. Mike, Frank, Bill, Rich, Tom, Charlie and his son Joe. Moving around was hard because of several inches of snow. Not a lot of hunting took place, only 2 guys got out on Monday, the first day. On Tuesday while getting ready for the day, the generator crapped out. It made a loud noise then quit.

After getting the generator home Frank said it had a 2 inch hole in the crankcase. He found this out after it tipped over in his wife's Jeep and spilled oil. Repairs were too costly so a new unit was bought. Frank has it at home now. We'll have to figure out later how and when we can get it up to camp.

Greg, his son Pete and Steve were going to go out for the last 2 days of deer season but had to scrub the mission because I (Steve) caught a chest cold and sore throat, plus some nasty weather was moving in for the Friday travel day.

This map showed Thursday morning 11 Dec with snow, sleet, and freezing rain, accumulating a coating to an inch. Thursday night calling for periods of snow 1-3 inches, Friday cloudy, breezy with another inch of snow. Then turning colder for the weekend. Not good travel weather.

Here are some pictures that Rich and Bill took for their short stay. Everybody went home Tuesday.
