I found many great ideas on the
FJ Cruiser
Forums that I used in one way or another.
I added a rear window/door switch by splicing into the wires
from the key lock then I also added a mechanical (cable) method
to pop the rear window manually. Here are some photos

Here are the three wires spliced into the control wires prior to
the ECU connector. On the left is the manual pull cable to pop
open the rear window latch.

I drilled a hole in the main mount and the latch lever just
large enough to pass the cable through. I used an old bike brake
cable I had. One end had a tab soldered on one end. I fed
that through the lever and the main mount then back into the
cable guide.

This shows the manual cable looped under the lift cylinder
bracket then down into the door.

The other end of the cable
Pull ring swaged on end of manual cable. The only problem now is
the opening cover pops out when you yank on it. I have to push
on the cover while pulling the ring. It needs more work,
probably some sort of bracing behind the cover, big washer, etc.
Here is the On-Off-On toggle switch that controls the door lock
and window latch. On the left is the black knob on the rod that
is clamped to the door opening rod to manually open the door
from inside. I also copied that from someone on the FJ Forum.
