New Wheel Balancer

I saw a picture of a neat foldable balancer someone had and sat down and tried to come up with a similar design that would fit the Concours wheels and axles. After cobbling something together with some wood I got some 3/4 and one inch square stock and some 3/4 inch angle iron and started sawing. The following pictures show how it ended up. I used it to balance my latest tires, some Dunflop 205's.

Here is the raw materials.

Mock up and beginning to weld.

All welded up. Knobs installed for fit.

Shown with support legs stowed and coat of paint.

Need to install support roller bearings.

Another view.

For the four support bearings, I found some skateboard roller bearings at the local hobby store. They were less than a dollar each.
I didn't get a picture of them yet showing how I installed them. I will make a mental note to do so....
