Side Ladder
I cut about 2 1/4 inches out of the center of the ladder I cut four pieces of scrap steel rod and tapped them into the hollow core of the steps with a hammer to add strength before welding the sections together. The rod was the exact size with a slight interference fit.

Ladder sections MIG welded together. You can see one of the two 12 inch 1 1/2" by 3 " steel angles I used to mount the ladder to the Mog floor. I used this size because I had several 24"pieces on hand and wanted to be sure the ladder lock lever cleared the 24 Volt outlet and fit below the floor.
Different view of ladder partswelded together and the mounting angle. Total width came out to 12 inches.
Ladder with welds ground down, primed, painted and bolted to floor.
Ladder closed up. I used 10 MM bolts to connect the steel angle plates to the floor. I drilled out the two roll bar bolt holes also for 10mm because the 6mm bolts seemed too wimpy. I used several large flat washers to spread the load to the floor sheet metal. Now I can climb in using the wheel step ring and the ladder to make things easier. I sprayed the steps and sprinkled some traction grit while the paint was wet then sprayed it a bit later to cover the traction grit. I also sprayed my step rings the same way, paint - traction grit - repaint.
Now the ladder can be closed or opened while sitting in the drivers seat! Now I need to get some decent seats like Michael Chenevert.
